General Conditions

Naerata Ometi MTÜ (hereinafter referred to as the Association) uses the donations made to purposefully carry out projects and related activities to support families in need, children, young people, and individuals with health problems. Our goal is to ensure that every donation brings maximum benefit to those in need.

Use of Donations

1. Designated Donations Donations made to a specific project (e.g., to support a specific person in need), which are initiated directly from the project’s information page, are used to cover the costs of that specific project.

2. Surplus Donations for a Project In the event that a specific project’s goal is met or more donations are collected than necessary for its implementation, we will use the surplus donations considering the donor’s expectations and following a clear hierarchy:

• First and foremost, we will direct the funds to support another project of a similar nature that requires urgent assistance.
• If a suitable alternative project is not currently available, the funds will be transferred to the Association’s corresponding designated fund (e.g., “Children’s Health”), which will support similar beneficiaries in the future.

3. General Donations Donations made through the donation links on the homepage or on the general subpages of the website are used to support the general activities of the Association. These donations help us cover the integral operational costs necessary to carry out projects and help those in need – for example, accounting, volunteer-related expenses, transportation, communication costs, and office and warehouse expenses.

Donation Procedure

Donations can be made via internet bank by transferring the donation amount to one of our bank accounts, or by using the secure payment solution provided by Maksekeskus AS, which is integrated into our website. Donations can be made as a one-time payment or as a recurring donation in the “BECOME A RECURRING DONOR” section. In the donation environment, the selectable payment amounts are 10, 25, or 50 euros, or an amount of your own choosing. The currency for donations is the euro (€).

To cancel a recurring donation, please send an e-mail with the subject line “I wish to cancel my recurring donation” to info@naerataometi.ee, including your name in the e-mail. We will confirm the cancellation of your recurring donation to your e-mail address within two working days, giving you assurance that your request has been received and is being processed.

When making a one-time donation in this donation environment, you will be directed through our partner, Maksekeskus.ee, to your chosen internet bank with pre-filled donation details, which saves you time and reduces the possibility of errors when entering data.

Income Tax Exemption

Naerata Ometi MTÜ is listed as a non-profit association with an income tax exemption.

• A private individual donor has the opportunity to deduct donations made to the Association from their taxable income for the period (up to 1200 euros per year, combined with other deductions, but not more than 50% of the income). For us to declare the donation, our payment service provider, Maksekeskus AS, will forward us your personal identification code when you donate via a bank link. If you donate via bank transfer, please include your personal identification code in the payment description.
• Donations made by a company are tax-exempt according to the limits set forth in § 49(2) of the Income Tax Act.

The declarable donation data of individuals who have donated to the Association are automatically reflected in the donor’s pre-filled income tax return.

Withdrawal of a Donation

A donation is, by its nature, a non-refundable charitable gift that helps us plan our activities and make commitments to those in need. However, we understand that human errors can sometimes occur.

If you have made a donation by mistake (for example, entered an incorrect amount or made a duplicate payment), please contact us within 24 hours of making the donation at info@naerataometi.ee. We will review each such case personally and, in good faith, find the best possible solution.

Privacy and Security

We guarantee the security of donations in cooperation with Maksekeskus AS and the banks. Your data exchange with the bank is always encrypted (the address begins with https://).

Naerata Ometi MTÜ is the controller of personal data. Maksekeskus AS is the authorized processor of personal data necessary for processing payments and for income tax return declarations. When a donation is made, the payment service provider forwards us certain data (e.g., the donor’s name and personal identification code). We use this data for its intended purpose, protect it in accordance with the law, and do not disclose it to third parties, except in cases provided for by law (e.g., when declaring to the Tax and Customs Board).

The user has the right to request the termination of the processing of their personal data and/or the deletion of the collected data in accordance with applicable laws.
